Error description
NOTE: Problem occurs only in environments that were migrated from 8.0.0 to 8.0.1 1. Create a UCA. 2. Create a BPD. 3. Add a Start Event to the BPD. 4. With the Start Event selected, go to the Properties view. 5. Select the Implementation tab. 6. In Start Event Details, select Message. 7. In the row Attached Message UCA, click Select button. 8. Select the UCA and click OK. Result, the selected UCA will not be listed in the Implementation tab. It will still say "<none>".
Local fix
Problem summary
When trying to attach a UCA to a message/content event the selector fails to apply the change. This will occur for customers who have migrated from 8000 to 8010. USER AFFECTED: Business Process Manager Advance, Standard and Express process application authors using UCAs. PROBLEM DETAILED DESCRIPTION: The root cause of this problem was the fact that upon migration from 8000 to 8010 two columns in the LSW_UCA table were not populated with default values. These two columns were added in 8010 and assume that a value exists there.
Problem conclusion
As a solution, we have added a DB upgrade step which populates the columns to their required values as well as hardens the code around their use, which assumes that the value exists.
