Problem summary
The use of white space characters (i.e. \n, \t, etc.) for the purpose of formatting in Coach configuration options were not being respected. USER AFFECTED: Business Process Manager Advanced, Standard and Express. PROBLEM DETAILED DESCRIPTION: In an effort to ensure we never emit semantically incorrect JavaScript, we escape problematic characters during generation of coach configuration options. FVT flushed out scenarios which forced us down the route of escaping. The issue was that once we escaped configuration option values, items like \n and \t that were intentional by the user, were being escaped. Therefore, \n became \\n, which did not have the desired effect.
Problem conclusion
The issue has been resolved. The fix was to preserve option escaping, but to special case harmless whitespace. The issue is fixed in all subsequent and future releases. FIX AVAILABILITY: Fix for 8.0.1 is available as an interim fix on Fix Central, http://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral/ . Search for APAR JR45861. Fix for 8.5 will be available in the upcoming V8 release. When downloading an interim fix package, please ensure the accompanying readme is also download, and reviewed thoroughly, for any additional info about the fix and install instructions.
