Error description

  • Support is needed to map catentries from a master catalog store
to a sales catalog category from CSV upload in Commerce
Management Center catalog tool.

Local fix

  • Customize wc-loader-catalog-entry-parent-catalog-group.xml to
add this mapping:
<_config:mapping
xpath="CatalogEntryIdentifier/ExternalIdentifier/StoreIdentifier
/ExternalIdentifier/NameIdentifier" value="StoreIdentifier" />

Add a StoreIdentifier column to the input csv to specify the
store that owns the product. For example,
CatalogEntryParentCatalogGroupRelationship,,,
PartNumber,StoreIdentifier,ParentGroupIdentifier,Delete
TEST_PRODUCT,myCatalogAssetStore,TEST_SALES_CATEGORY,0

All WebSphere Commerce users using CSV upload in the CMC Catalog
tool.

PROBLEM ABSTRACT:
CSV upload support to map catentries from the master catalog in
the catalog asset store to a sales catalog category in an
extended-sites store is needed.

RECOMMENDATION:

Problem conclusion

  • Fixed the CatalogEntryParentCatalogGroupMediator to resolve id
for partnumber in the store path. If id is not resolved in the
current store, then it would go up the store path to the catalog
asset store to resolve it there.
