APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The database triggers created for the SEO component (stored in
wcs.cacheivl.trigger.sql) are not invalidating properly, and the
SEO cache needs to be manually cleared to correct the problem.
This is because the dependency id created for the SEOURLKEYWORD
    cache entry is incorrect.

The dependency ids would be generated look like this, for
    example:
    WCT+?
    WCT+SEOURLKEYWORD+?
    WCT+SEOURLKEYWORD+SEOURLKEYWORD_ID:?
    WCT+SEOURLKEYWORD+SEOURLKEYWORD_ID:%:13122
    WCT+SEOURLKEYWORD+MOBILEURLKEYWORD+URLKEYWORD:?:?
    WCT+SEOURLKEYWORD+MOBILEURLKEYWORD+URLKEYWORD:%:albini-beige-pea
    sant-top:?
    WCT+SEOURLKEYWORD+MOBILEURLKEYWORD+URLKEYWORD:%:albini-beige-pea
    sant-top:%:albini-beige-peasant-top
    WCT+SEOURLKEYWORD+MOBILEURLKEYWORD+URLKEYWORD:?:%:albini-beige-p
    easant-top

but they should look like this:

    WCT+?
    WCT+SEOURLKEYWORD+?
    WCT+SEOURLKEYWORD+URLKEYWORD:?
    WCT+SEOURLKEYWORD+SEOURLKEYWORD_ID:?
    WCT+SEOURLKEYWORD+MOBILEURLKEYWORD:?
    WCT+SEOURLKEYWORD+SEOURLKEYWORD_ID:%:13122
    WCT+SEOURLKEYWORD+URLKEYWORD:%:albini-beige-peasant-top
    WCT+SEOURLKEYWORD+MOBILEURLKEYWORD:%:albini-beige-peasant-top

Local fix

  • SEO cache needs to be manually cleared to correct the problem.

Problem summary

  • USERS AFFECTED:
WebSphere Commerce users on v7.0 who use SEO feature with cache
    invalidation enabled.

    PROBLEM ABSTRACT:
Triggers for the SEOURLKEYWORD cache entry do not invalidate the
    cache

    BUSINESS IMPACT:
The cache invalidation will fail, leaving stale data in
    SEOURLKEYWORD cache entries.

    RECOMMENDATION:

Problem conclusion

  • The code is changed to create the correct dependency id created
for SEOURLKEYWORD cache entry, so that the triggers defined in
wcs.cacheivl.trigger.sql should handle all SEO data cache
    invalidation properly.
