APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The UI setting for the test mode is not interpreted correctly by
the runtime.

Local fix

  • The behavior of the test mode can be achieved by setting a
particular job parameter. The following steps show how the test
mode can be enabled using that environment variable.

- Open the job that you want to run in test mode
- Open the job parameters dialog (Menu: File -> Job Properties)
- Switch to the Parameters tab and add a variable named
DS_PX_RESET as shown in the following screen:

- Click OK and run the job with the default setting 1 for
DS_PX_RESET

Problem summary

  • It is possible to enable a "Test Mode" setting in the IDOC
extract UI. The setting is stored but was not used at runtime.

Problem conclusion

  • Code fix: The test mode setting will now be picked up by the
runtime.
