Local fix

Problem summary

  • An internal DDL statement: ALTER SUMMARY ... COMPILE is
sometimes being replicated when an ALTER MATERIALIZED VIEW ...
COMPILE statemen is executed and the materialized view
    references an in-scope table.
The ALTER SUMMARY statement will fail on the target with an
    "ORA-00900: invalid statement" error.

This issue can affect users using rule-based mappings on CDC
6.5.1 and 6.5.2 for Oracle redo log.

CDC should have filtered those ALTER VIEW statements.

Problem conclusion

  • This issue is fixed by applying ISCDC 6.5.2 Interim Fix 21 for
Oracle Redo and ISCDC 6.5.1 Interim Fix 16 for Oracle Redo.

Temporary fix

  • The failure to apply the ALTER VIEW on the
target can be workaround by manually creating the view on the
    target.
