Error description

  • This APAR will enhance the propagate soap fault function in
    JAX-WS
export binding. To make the export can propagate SOAP 1.2 Node
information in soap fault. To enable the propagate function with
mediation module. You need to do following steps alonge with
    install
    this ifix.
    1. Enable WESB components fault propagation
     1) Login IBM admin console of Process Server/ESB
     2) Select 'Servers\WebSphere Application Servers' on the
    navigation
area, and then select the WAS server
     3) Click on 'Server Infrastructure\Java and Process
    Definition\Process
    Definition'
     4) On Process Definition page, click on 'Additional
    Properties\Java
    Virtual Machine'
     5) Add '-Dcom.ibm.sibx.smo.mediationPropagateFaultInfo=true' to
    'Generic JVM arguments' property.
     6) After the change, please restart the server to enable the
    setting.

    2. Enable WS Binding fault propagation
     1) Make sure IID is 7.5.1 or upper version.
     2) Open the module project on IID and select the WS export
    component on
    Assembly Diagram.
     3) Open 'Properties' view of the WS binding export component

tag 'Binding\Propagation', it will show propagation options.
     4) Check on 'Propagate the SOAP fault information (only for use

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Node info for SOAP 1.2 fault missing *
    * after propagate from web service *
    *                      export binding                          *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
Node info has been ignored in previous code. So no matter if
the node info contains in the SOAP fault or not. It will not
be propagated. New code logic needed to pick up the node info
and put into the soap message.

Problem conclusion

  • New code has been added to the export binding code to
determine if the node info existed in SOAP message. If so we
will propagate it for SOAP 1.2 fault message.
