JR44053: BAPI RETURN LOG FILE DOES NOT HAVE CR LF WHEN CREATED ON A WINDOWS 2008 SERVER

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Windows - Intel -is an LE system.  Line terminators for the
  written logs are LF (Line Feed, 0x0A) for BE platforms and CRLF
  (Carriage Return + Line Feed, 0x0D0A) for LE  platforms buton
  LF is being written.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• The return log file of a BAPI Extract stage does not have CR LF
  at EOL when created on a Windows 2008 server.
  It just has a LF at EOL although the environment variable
  'DS_SAP_ALT_NL' is set to 1.
  This happens on non-unicode SAP-Systems only.
  

Problem conclusion

• After applying the code fix the BAPI stage adds a CRLF at the
  end of the line (export file) when the environment
  variable 'DS_SAP_ALT_NL' is set to 1.
