APAR status

  • Closed as fixed if next.

Error description

  • In a BPM environment that has both Process Center and Process
Server, Process server periodically sends its heart beat to
the Process Center it connects to. The implementation of the
heartbeat event is not optimized and may end up with high
number of database calls if there are many snapshots installed
    to Process Server.

Local fix

  • Changing the repository server interval property to a higher
value reduces the number of calls

by dramatically reducing number of queries against snapshot
    related table.

Problem conclusion

Temporary fix

  • Reducing the Repository Heartbeat Interval in Process server
configuration (99local) helps reduce the number of calls made
    to the database.
