JR43483: GROUP BY TAG FOR ALL OBJECTS NOT WORKING

Version 8.0 Refresh Pack 1 for the IBM Business Process Manager products

APAR status

• Closed as fixed if next.

Error description

• too many Windows' GDI objects are being created causing
  the issue with displaying All elements grouped by Tags.
  
  In order to refactor the objects to individual process
  application and
  toolkit, I need to group the objects by Tag(It only works for
  Type).
  When I click on All and group by Tag, the objects are not
  showing up to
  select and create application/tool kit.
  

Local fix

• To work with all the items with a
  specific tag, create a Smart Folder using the tag as the
  selection
  criteria. Then even when the Smart Folder list is displayed by
  Type, it
  still only contains the items with the selected tag.
  

Problem summary

• Fix delivery targetting next BPM V8 release, targetting 4Q 2012.
  
  Each item has its own tooltip and each tooltip has its own font.
  A new font was created each time for each tooltip and a large
  number of items in the browser canvas led to too many Windows'
  GDI objects.
  A test case with boundary conditions on the number of items in
  the browser canvas list would prevent this APAR
