Error description

  • BPC JSF Client: Non integer values in "go to page" text box
causes unhandled NumberFormatException
.
When generating a JSF custom client for WPS human tasks, the
generated client has a list component. The list component shows
a "go to page" text box if there are a lot of pages for this
list. Entering an invalid number (Non-numeric characters or just
a very large number) into this text box causes a NumberFormatEx-
ception to be thrown, instead of showing an error dialog or
ignoring the input (it ignores prper integgers that are not with
-in the page range, this seems like the correct behavior)

Problem summary


    

  • When generating a JSF custom client for WPS human tasks, the
generated client has a list component.
The list component shows a "go to page" text box if there are a
lot of pages for this list.
Entering an invalid number (Non-numeric characters or just a
very large number) into this text box causes a
NumberFormatException to be thrown.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • This fix applies to the runtime only and replaces the
bpcjsfcomponents.jar in the <installation
directory>/ProcessChoreographer/client directory of the runtime.

In order to fix the problem in the generated JSF custom client
in Integration Developer a manual workaround is
needed. You will need to replace bpcjsfcomponents.jar in the Web
Project of Integration Developer with this version. (You will
find the bpcjsfcomponents.jar in the WEB-INF/lib directory of
the generated Web Project)
