APAR status

Error description

• When a promotion is created, the
  ProcessPromotionActivateActionCmdImpl class calls populate
  commands (i.e. populateCATENCALCD), which insert data into the
  corresponding table (i.e. CATENCALCD) with an entry linking
  CATENTRY_IDs/CATGROUP_IDs/SHIPMODE_IDs/MBRGROUP_ID to the
  promotion's CALCODE_ID.  These entries are stored in the
  CATGPCALCD/CATENCALCD/SHPMODCLCD/CALCODEMGP tables.  When a
  shopper accesses a product display page, these entries are
  referenced and the corresponding CALCODEDESC descriptions are
  displayed to the shopper.  The same description is displayed for
  both the qualifying and reward items in a promotion.
  
  In order to customize what is displayed, you will need greater
  access to the methods within the
  ProcessPromotionActivateActionCmdImpl class.  Currently the
  populate methods are private.

  promotion marketing displayed to shoppers.

Problem conclusion

• Applying this fix changes the 'private' methods in the
  ProcessPromotionActivateActionCmdImpl class to 'protected' to
  allow for easier implementation of customizations.
