Problem summary

• ABAP RFC extract: background job cleanup is not performed when
  the job aborts or is stopped forcefully by the user.
  

Problem conclusion

• We have implemented a few code changes including:
  1. Add calls to clean the background job (including the
  variants) when a job is aborted or stopped forcefully by the
  user
  2. If the call to BAPI_XBP_JOB_DELETE fails (job still active)
  retry the delete a few times after a delay
  3. Better error detection for various conditions; including a
  warning message displayed in the DS job log if the status of the
  background job as returned by BAPI_XBP_JOB_STATUS_GET is
  "Aborted" in SAP
  4. Save jobcount to a file on disk so we can use it to cleanup a
  failed background job on Reset
