APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The user needs to use IDOCs without setting the release field
  value. They are able to select them in the stage GUI by not
  setting the field "R/3 Version" in the "IDOC Type Properties"
  (or alternatively using the workaround in this technote
  https://www-304.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21320808
  At runtime the job aborts with:
  RFC exception:   EXCEPTION FU_NOT_FOUND RAISED
  

Local fix

• Release the IDOC in SAP
  

Problem summary

• IDOC Load stage cannot use empty release IDOCs at runtime. The
  job aborts with: "RFC exception:   EXCEPTION FU_NOT_FOUND
  RAISED"
  

Problem conclusion

• Code fix; introduced the environment variable
  DSR3_IDOC_USE_EMPTY_RELEASE:
  - when set to 1 the stage will use empty release field
  (PI_RELEASE) in the call to IDOCTYPE_READ_COMPLETE (if empty
  release is specified in the IDOC config file);
  - otherwise keep the old behavior and use the Connection release
  string.
  
  Set this variable at the Project level using the Administrator
  client.
