Error description

• When the ScheduledContentManagedFileEARUpdateCmd job has been
  configured to deploy static assets using File
  Copy or FTP as per these instructions:
    Updating static Web assets to a remote Web server

  It is noticed that every time the
  ScheduledContentManagedFileEARUpdateCmd  job runs, an empty
  temporary file
  is left in the system's temporary directory (eg: /tmp).  The
  name of the files are similar to the following
  CommercePartialEAR_110616154507.zip. (CommercePartialEAR_*.zip)
  

Local fix

• Implement a scheduled job to find and delete temporary empty
  files which are named as CommercePartialEAR_*.zip and whose
  timestamp is older than 1 hour
  

Problem summary

• USERS AFFECTED:
  WebSphere Commerce 7.0 users which have completed the steps for
  updating static Web assets to a remote Web server
  
  PROBLEM ABSTRACT:
  Empty temporary zip files exist after deploying static content
  to web server.
  
  BUSINESS IMPACT:
  After some time many unnecessary empty files can be found in the
  temporary directory
  
  RECOMMENDATION:
  

Problem conclusion

• The PartialEARBuilder class has been updated to delete the
  temporary zip if it is empty after deployment completes.
