Error description

  • When cutting and pasting on the multi-edit screen in new UI, if
    you press keyboard shortcut Ctrl + c on one cell from one row
    (row id 1), and then press Ctrl + v in one cell on another row
    (row id 2) the full row is copied from row 1 to row 2 as opposed
    to the just the cell value.

    Steps to reproduce:

    1. Create a generic catalog spec with the following attributes

       ID (PK)
       Attribute1 (String)
       Attribute2 (String)

    2. Create a catalog with this spec

    3. Create 2 items in this catalog

       ID=Item1
       Attribute1=Test1
       Attribute2=Test1

       ID=Item2
       Attribute1=Test2
       Attribute2=Test2

    4. Bring up multiple items in multi-edit page.

    5. Select Attribute1 cell on Item1 and use keyboard shortcut
    [Ctrl]+[C] to make a copy, then move mouse to Attribute1 cell on
    Item2 and press [Ctrl]+[V]. The result is that the entire rows
    of Item1 is copied to Item2 opposed to just the selected cell
    value.

Local fix

  • Use mouse right click menu to do copy and paste selected cell
    value
