Error description

  • when working in the multiedit item view (either on catalog or
collaboration area) you can "Add" new items or "drop" items from
the multieedit item list, but the drop action will not remove
    the
dropped item properly from the multiedit item list, which causes
    a) newly added items to display the values of the preceedingly
    dropped item
    b) item to be saved when the "Save all modified items" option is
    selected

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
All Master Data Management Server for Product Information
Management implementations are affected by this issue.
    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
If "For editing and entering data, use:" setting in the user
settings is set to "Single and multi-edit with rich search
simplified", and the Drop action is invoked on a newly added
(& not yet saved) item in multi-edit, then the dropped item is
not correctly removed from internal datastructures.
Consequently, newly added item will display the values set on
the previously dropped item. Also, if save all modified action
is taken on the multi-edit, then it would attempt to save the
    changes to the dropped item.
    ****************************************************************
    RECOMMENDATION:
IBM recommends that customers facing the issue reported by this
APAR apply Master Data Management Server for Product
Information Management version 9.0.0-IF1 to gain resolution to
    this problem.

Problem conclusion

  • A fix for this problem has been included in Master Data
Management Server for Product Information Management version
