JR36827: MQ CONNECTOR NOT SENDING MQDISC AFTER CLOSE PLACES ERROR IN MQ LOG.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Due to MQ Connector not outputting a MQDISC after close sent
  causing many "Connection terminated unexpectedly" messages in
  the mq log causing alerts raised.

Problem summary

  USERS AFFECTED:
  MQ connector users
  ****************************************************************
  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  Communication errors logged by MQ server when MQ connector is
  used.
  
  When users run a job with MQ connector, even after the job
  completes successfully, they will see errors or warnings in MQ
  log files related with network communication such as AMQ9208 or
  CSQX209E.

  RECOMMENDATION:
  Apply the patch

Problem conclusion

• This is because MQ connector doesn't call MQDISC after closing
  queues and ends with the process termination.
  Originally this was expected behavior to avoid unexpected
  disconnection when multiple instances of MQ connector run on a
  process.
  The fix is created to add connection count and have MQ connector
  call MQDISC.
  No communication error should be logged by MQ server after
  applying the patch.
  

Temporary fix

• Ignore the communication error/warning on MQ log.
