  • Environment variables are being generated differently in Osh
between 7.5. & 8.1 release

7.5.1.

params "_MY_ENV=$MY_ENV"

   The value of $MY_ENV gets used for your job

IS 8.1

&"$MY_ENV"

The format changes in generated osh between 7.5.1 and 8.1 is by
design, to accommodate parametersets where a dot may be used as
part of a parameterset variable

Problem summary


    

  • Internal format used for environment variable job parameters has
changed since 7.5.1 in order to accommodate parametersets. There
is no corresponding change in the parallel job deployment file
jpdepfile or pxrun.sh script file; this causes a
parameterization error when the job is
run standalone using the pxrun.sh script.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The fix corrects the generation of the jpdepfile parameter file
and the pxrun.sh script file at job compilation time
