Error description
When using the DB2 Configuration Assistant (CA) from a remote DB2 client, it might fail with a CCA3061N error: . CCA3061N - "Incomplete server configuration." . This would happen during discovery. During discovery, the database administration server (DAS) on the remote server, will execute a program called db2genp. db2genp is used to provide information about the remote instances that would be needed to properly discover the remote server. Part of the process of db2genp is to load and execute functions from a library called libcatcp.a. DB2 looks for libcatcp.a in sqllib/lib, however the library is located in sqllib/lib64. If sqllib/lib is linking to sqllib/lib32 instead of sqllib/lib64, then db2genp will not find this library and fail. . This APAR will ensure that db2genp will look for the libcatcp.a library in sqllib/lib64 since it is a 64-bit library on 64-bit instances. . The following error might be recorded in the server-side db2diag.log when this problem happens: . 2010-02-25-15.46.51.442166-100 I2341C121 LEVEL: Error PID : 39120 TID : 3001943122451PROC : db2genp INSTANCE: db2inst1 NODE : 000 FUNCTION: DB2 UDB, base sys utilities, sqlecgen_getproinfo, probe:13 MESSAGE : DIA7500E Error encountered in the Generator. Return code from "caProIfInit" was "1".
Local fix
Copy libcatcp.a from sqllib/lib64 and place it in sqllib/lib32.
