Error description

  • If you choose the GUI installation method  to install a fixpack
upgrade,  the execution of the DB2 picker (DB2InstSel.exe) will
crash if there is no default DB2 copy of your machine.

Local fix

  • Before attempting the upgrade, run db2lswtch.exe -promote on the
DB2 copy you are trying to upgrade.
