APAR status

  • Closed as fixed if next.

Error description

  • SCD GUI Shows DATABASE Option when ORACLE is selected. Jobs fail
with TNSNames issues when this option is mentioned.

Local fix

  • The Customer should only need to put in the ORACLE Server Name
instead of the DataBase Name. DataBase Name is documented as
only for DB2 Server. This Option is planned to be removed in 8.5
release.

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
The Customer should only need to put in the Oracle Server name

instead of the Database name. Database name is documented as
only for DB2 server.

RECOMMENDATION:
This was fixed in the coming release IS 85.

Problem conclusion

  • The Customer should only need to put ORACLE Server name instead
of DataBase Name. The DataBase Option is planned to be removed
in 8.5 release
