JR34711: USING TDEE STAGE AS SOURCE ERRORS IN USING EXTENDED/UNICODE.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Using Teradata Multiload stage in DS7.5.3 PX in Linux Redhat,
  customer has to use Extended/Unicode in the source TDML stage to
  be able to apply string columns defined as latin to target as
  without the Extended/Unicode property, they get ustring->string
  conversion warnings for all the source strings. Only when
  reading from teratada tables does the customer get this error.
  When using ODBC or DB2 as sources, no conversion is issued.

Problem conclusion

• With the fix, TDEE will read CHAR/VARCHAR types as "string"
  (instead of "ustring") and hence there will not be any
  conversion warnings (from "ustring" to "string").
