Error description

  • Information Server 8.1 on Suse Linux

    GetInvoicedSales,2: [IIS-CONN-DB2-000004] DB2 function

    Msg = [IBM][CLI Driver][DB2/LINUXX8664] SQL0104N  An unexpected
    token "DBPARTITIONNUM"
was found following "T_NUMBER,SH00_ WHERE". Expected tokens may
    include: ",". SQLSTATE=42601
    (CC_DB2DBStatement::executeSelect, file
    CC_DB2DBStatement.cpp, line 1,418) [pxbridge.C:5688].

The parser is recognizing "ORDER" inside
    SH00_ORDER_NUMBER as a token.
The parser is being fooled by the underscore in front of
"ORDER"; it is treating "_" as a delimiter.
Our engineer is fixing the handling of special characters
    now, the
workaround is to change the column name as "SH00ORDER_NUMBER"
    (removing first underscore).

Local fix

  • workaround is to change the column name as "SH00ORDER_NUMBER"
    (removing first underscore).

This fix is included in 8.0.1 fix pack 3

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
DB2 Connector on Information Server 8.1
    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
DB2 Connector Stage has problem with parsing underscore in SQL
    statement.
DB2 Connector SQL parser is recognizing "ORDER" inside the
column name as ORDER BY clause when underscore("_") exists in
front of "ORDER" string (for example, SH00_ORDER_NUMBER).
The parser is being fooled by the underscore in front of
"ORDER"; it is treating "_" as a delimiter and SQL
statement generated by DB2 Connector was incorrect.
Same problem exists for pound sign("#") and dollar
    sign("$").

    ****************************************************************
    RECOMMENDATION:
    Apply the patch for JR34572.
    ****************************************************************

Problem conclusion

  • DB2 Connector SQL parser will treat underscore("_"), pound
    sign("#") and dollar sign("$") as a token.
