Error description

  • With ODBC Enterprise patch JR32893_aix_DS752.tar.Z and
DataDirect ODBC 5.3 installed, jobs loading to Netezza using
Netezza Enterprise stage failed to start due to next symbol
resolution error

Message: main_program: Error loading "orchnetezza": Could not
load "orchnetezza":
0509-130 Symbol resolution failed for
/Ascential/DataStage/PXEngine/lib/liborchnetezzaaix3.so
because:
0509-136 Symbol __dl__FPv(number 293) is not exported from
dependent module
/Ascential/DataStage/branded_odbc/lib/libodbc.a(odbc.so).

Problem summary


    

  • Netezza EE Stage in DataStage 7.5.2 GA is not
compatible with DataDirect ODBC 5.3 and the library is not
getting loaded.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Install ODBC5.3 library before applying this patch: JR34568.
New netezza library compiled with new version of DD was provided
to the customer.
