JR34513: PARALLEL JOB REPORTS FAILURE (CODE 139)

Error description

• DataStage Parallel jobs fail intermittently with the following
  error message
  Parallel job reports failure (code 139).
  
  RT_SC<xx>/OshExecuter.sh[25]: <xxxxx> Segmentation
  fault(coredump)
  
  Each time the job fails a core dump is saved in the projects
  directory.
  
  The crash stacks from the core dumps are similar, one such stack
  is as below:

Local fix

Problem summary

• USERS AFFECTED:
  IIS 801FP1, All platforms
  
  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  Parallel jobs containing netezza stages fail intermittently
  with the error message Parallel job reports failure (code 139)
  and produce core dumps after installing a Netezza patch. This is
  because the provided Netezza patch is not in sync with the
  Parallel Framework (PX) patches at the customer site.
  
  RECOMMENDATION:
  Install the latest patches provided for PX and Netezza
  

Problem conclusion

• The earlier JR34513 Netezza operator patch provided was not in
  sync with the Parallel Framework (PX) patches.
   To sync PX and Netezza patches, the Netezza operator patch
  should be built based on the latest PX patch available. Both the
  latest PX patch and Netezza patch should be sent to the
  customer.
