Error description
Jobs scheduled to run one time in Director are not displayed in list of scheduled jobs.
Local fix
Open up permissions of /usr/spool/cron/atjobs dir.
Problem summary
**************************************************************** USERS AFFECTED: AIX Server **************************************************************** PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: For historical reasons it has been necessary to change the permissions on the atjobs directory on AIX so that scheduling works correctly. DS needs to be able to read the jobs to find out whether they are DS ones. **************************************************************** RECOMMENDATION: If for security reasons changing permissions on the atjobs directory is not permitted then the patch should be applied. This is for AIX ONLY. This change is included in 8.1 Fix Pack 1. ****************************************************************
Problem conclusion
The patch uses 'at -l -v' on AIX in the same way as 'at -c' on LINUX to obtain the job details. This removes the need to read the job records directly and hence change the permissions on theatjobs directory.
