Local fix
Problem summary
**************************************************************** USERS AFFECTED: Anyone using a DataStage job without ISD stages as a provider in an ISD Operation. **************************************************************** PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: If a DataStage job does not have ISD stages, then it is incorrectly configured by ISD to send two termination messages to ISD when the job ends. The second message cannot be sent, however, because the first message causes ISD to close the receiving socket. Thus the OpenSocket error. **************************************************************** RECOMMENDATION: Install Information Server 8.1 Fix Pack 1. ****************************************************************
Problem conclusion
Fix made for Information Server 8.1 Fix Pack 1 to properly configure DataStage jobs without ISD stages to only send a single termination message when the job ends. This will prevent the OpenSocket error from happening.
Temporary fix
