Error description
Currently the IS install "Table 1. Planning worksheet for file systems" mentions the decriptions for Home directory for pre-created user IDs or the default location of the home directory for IDs that the install program creates. It suggests to confirm that the Administrator ID or the root user ID that will be used for the installation is able to write to these directories. If these directories are defined on mounted drives, authentication might not recognize that the root user ID has write authority. Customer's is looking for a more detailed explanation, such as a direct mention of having the 777 or 755 on the top directory mentioned in the table 1. According to them they had to do a chown bin:bin and a chmod R 755 on the following filesystems, or a 777, for the root installation process to succeed /dstage/IBM/WebSphere /dstage/IBM/db2"
