Error description

  • When using a large parameter set (about 700+ parameters) the
sequnecer takes a long time to start the first job in the
sequence.

Local fix

  • This fix is included in 8.0.1 fixpack 3

The code to validate a checkpoint record was very inefficient

If problem is encountered patch will be reuired
This fix is included in 8.1 FP1.

Problem conclusion

  • Replaced the checkpoint validation code with a pre-existing
repository call which was much more eficient
