  • The SAS Sanity (available under $APT_ORCHHOME/example/sas fails
with the following error, when run on IS 8.1 on AIX platform.

  • THE SAS Sanity test also failing on the AIX 64 bit platform.

ERROR DESCRIPTION:
The SAS Sanity (available under $APT_ORCHHOME/example/sas fails
with the following error, when run on IS 8.1 on AIX platform.

Problem conclusion


    

  • Till Information Server 8.1 release, we do not have 64 bit
support in SAS Enterprise Stage. Because of which, IS and hence
SAS Enterprise Stage are built for 32 bit whereas SAS was 64
bit. From IS 8.1 onwards, we have support for 64 bit in IS, and
hence the SAS enterprise stage is build in 64 bit mode to
address this issue.
