Error description

  • View Frequency Distribution locks on first time when you run
    MCPK Analysis and Duplicate Check in Information Analyzer 8.1
    
    Information Analyzer 8.1 RP2 on Windows Server 2003 SQL Server
    repository.
    
    *** Note that this only happens the first time you come into PK
    Analysis
    and need to run Duplicate check
    
    Also note that this occurs on PostgresSql, SQL Server, and
    Informix data
    sources.

Problem summary

    USERS AFFECTED:
    Windows 2003 (not XP users) viewing the Frequency Distribution
    in the Primary Key Analysis after clicking on Duplicate Key
    check
    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    After running Column Analysis, Open Primary Key Analysis,
     click on Duplicate Key check, and then Click on the
    "Frequency  Distribution" button. The UI appears to freeze and
    only option  is to x out of the screen. If you come back in a
    second time andrepeat the same operations, the UI does not
    freeze.

    RECOMMENDATION:
    upgrade to IA 81 RUP 3 or higher. This change is also included
    in 8.1 Fix Pack 1.
