Error description
The issue with the XMeta session cleanup logic is a known problem that was fixed in IS 8.1. The problem is that the 8.0.1 logic creates a new thread for every session that is terminated (either via logout, due to a session timeout, or because an administrator killed the session). With the 8.1 logic, we have only one long-lived thread that processes all sessions. This completely avoids the logic that creates a new thread and, therefore, avoids the reported problem. This APAR is a request for backport of the 8.1 (single thread) logic as a patch for 8.0.1.
