APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The customer is running a CLI-based application with Deferred
  Prepare enabled (default). Customer is using DB2 V7 for z/OS.
  In the application they execute a query against DB2 z/OS v7.
  They are connecting through a v8.2 gateway.
  
  The query fails with a -30002 error:
  
  -30002 THE SQL STATEMENT CANNOT BE EXECUTED DUE TO A PRIOR
  CONDITION IN A
            CHAIN OF STATEMENTS
  
  Since Deferred Prepare is enabled, the PREPARE and OPEN are sent
  on the same request.  The PREPARE receives a warning +1140W, and
  the OPEN succeeds. The Warning on the
  prepare however causes the entire statement to fail with the
  severe -30002 error, causing the application to return
  an error.
  This is tested on DB2 V7 for Z/OS with DB2 Connect V9.5 only.
