JR31810: NETEZZA STAGE, NZLOAD, GETS "FILE NOT FOUND" WITH 2 NODES

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Customer is running job with Netezza stage using nzload method
  on a 2-node cluster.  DS 8.1, Red Hat Linux.  Getting "file not
  found" errors from nzload.
  
  1 - File names passed to the nzload utility incorporate only the
  fastname of the conductor node, rather than the fastname of the
  node the operator is run on (see item #71 in the log)
  
  2 - The location of these files is always /tmp... regardless of
  what he has specified in his apt.config file
  

Local fix

• This fix is included in 8.0.1 fix pack 3

  Apply this APAR.
  The fix has been included in the IS 8.1 FP1. Apply the FP1 for
  IS 8.1

Problem conclusion

• Problem has been corrected by generating the pipe name so that
  separate pipes on the native nodes will be created and there
  won't be any "further file not found" errors.
  
  Also making use of the TMPDIR environment variable so that the
  log files and temporary location can be set at runtime.
