Error description

• It is possible that DSTranformError() causes a job abnormal
  termination.
  

Local fix

• use DSLogInfo/DSLogWarn instead of DSTransformError.
  
  This fix is included in 8.0.1 fixpack 3

  function with strings containing only whitespace can result in
  an access violation.

Problem conclusion

• Code in the NUM function no longer attempts to access beyond
  theend of the string.  The change will be in upcoming fix packs
  on 8.0.1 (fp3) and 8.1 (fp1), and can be patched if requested.
