JR31215: LINUX RELEASE OF 8.1 POINTING TO AIX PAM FILE.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When configuring LDAP for 8.1 on Redhat Linux 64-bit, the dsapi_
  server is pointing to the AIX release of the pam file.
  

Local fix

• Creating a symbolic link to point to the local libpam.so file.

  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  Unable to connect to DataStage when using PAM authentication on
  lease 8.1.  Customer sees error 81011   (invalid username or
  password).  Using the strace facility showsan incorrect library
  for the linux platform was attempting to beaccessed
  ****************************************************************
  RECOMMENDATION:
  Upgrade to 8.1FP2 or implement workaround of setting a symbolic
  link from the faling non-existant library to the appropriate
  library on the particular platform.
  This change is included in 8.1 Fix Pack 1.

• Fix is included in patch_JR31215_server_redhat_81 and 8.1FP2.
