APAR status

Error description

  • When IS Client machine uses Thai Locale setting in the Windows -
    Control Panel - Regional Setting, the Director is trying to
    display Buddish Year (Gregorian Year + 543). In the DS DIrector
    job log, all the entries have blank date/timestamp.

  • This fix is included in 8.0.1 fix pack 3

    USERS AFFECTED:
    Only affects users with client machines configured to use a
    Thailocale
    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    Installations onto a client machine with Regional Setting as
    "Thailand" has problems with dates in the Director client.
           The expected behavior
    is for the Director client to show dates  as per the Thai
    locale.  For example the Solar year 2008 should be displayed as
    2551 in the Director.
       However, the Director either shows
    dates in the wrong locale or does not show them at all.
    Problems also occur when the     Director attempts to parse
    dates.

    RECOMMENDATION:
    Install patch provided.
    This change is included in 8.1 Fix Pack 1.

Problem conclusion

  • The Director client has been changed to work correctly in a
    Thailocale environment
