Error description

  • The Microsoft SQL Server wrapper may get some invalid data when
Microsoft SQL Server shutdown, which causes DB2 crash.

You may get the following error in db2diag.log before the crash.

Local fix

  • Create wrapper using FENCED Y server option:

ALTER WRAPPER <wrappername> OPTIONS (SET DB2_FENCED 'Y')
