APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• This APAR is the same as IY95017 excepts covers the scenario
  where the database server is DB2 for z/OS v8
  
  An OLEDB application if issuing IColumnsInfo will return SQL_NUM
  ERIC for DECIMAL(x,y) columns however IDBSchemaRowset(DBSCHEMA_C
  OLUMNS) will return SQL_DECIMAL.   This will cause certain appli
  cations to fail like Microsoft SQL Server Linked Server, where i
  t expects the same datatype for both calls.
  .
  The OLEDB specifications indicate that SQL_NUMERIC be used for D
  ECIMAL columns.  This APAR will ensure IDBSchemaRowset(DBSCHEMA_
  COLUMNS) is changed such that it returns SQL_NUMERIC instead of
  SQL_DECIMAL.
  .
  Note:   IColumnsInfo maps to the CLI API SQLDescribeCol() and ID
  BSchemaRowset(DBSCHEMA_COLUMNS) maps to the CLI API SQLColumnsW(
  ).
  

Local fix

• Add GenericSchemaKeywords="OLEDBNUMERIC=1" to db2cli.ini

Temporary fix

• Add GenericSchemaKeywords="OLEDBNUMERIC=1" to db2cli.ini
