JR30689: DEPLOYMENT FAILS WHEN USING A NON-ASCII CHARACTER IN AN INFORMATION SERVICES DIRECTOR APPLICATION OR SERVICE NAME.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• If you use a non-ASCII character in the IBM InfoSphere
  Information Services Director application name or service name,
  you cannot deploy the application.
  
  When you click Deploy, the application does not deploy.
  

Local fix

• InfoSphere Information Services Director by default generates a
  package name as follows: com.ibm.isd.<app_name>.<svc_name>,
  where <app_name> is the application name and <svc_name> is the
  service name.
  
  If you use non-ASCII characters in the application name or
  service name, override the default base package name so that it
  contains only ASCII characters.

  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  The default service and operation names for Portuguese have a
  space character embedded in them which causes an error when
  trying to save an ISD application

  RECOMMENDATION:
  Change the default names provided for services and operations so
  they do not have embedded space characters. This will be fixed
  in the 8.1 version of ISD.

Problem conclusion

• Fixed translation text to remove the space character.
