Error description

• We are experiencing a bug with the odbc stage. We have a case
  where the
  odbc operator is issuing this fatal error:
  
  [DataDirect][ODBC DB2 Wire Protocol driver][UDB DB2 for Windows,
  UNIX,
  and Linux]ILLEGAL SYMBOL (; VALID SYMBOLS ARE O
  MDM8MCA1.BLUMCA01..
  <identifier> [odbcUtils.C:1289]
  
  The problem turned out to be an incorrectly populated table name
  in the
  job parameters. However, the job completed successfully.
  
  This message should either be reduced to a warning, or the job
  should abort. I have noticed this on numerous occasions with the
  ODBC stage, with a variety of messages.
  
  Running DataaStage version 8.  Have requested further
  information from IBM'er about OS & patch/FP installed.

• Re-implemented the Fatal Error determination for ODBC Upsert
