APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • On Windows operating systems, when an instance profile exists
in a non default location, upgrading to DB2 Version 9.5 and
then migrating this instance moves the instance profile to
the installation directory.
This is an error, the instance profile should remain its
pre-migration location.

Local fix

  • Restore the instance profile back to its original location by
issuing
the db2iupdt command with the  /p: <instance-profile-path>
option
after migrating the instance.
