APAR status

Error description

  • DateTime is contained in IfxType enumeration but not supported.
    Assigning IfxType.DateTime IfxParameter.IfxType reports:
    
    parameter.IfxType = IfxType.DateTime;
    
    Specified argument was out of the range of valid values.
    Parameter name: Invalid Ifx Type enumeration value=10.
       at IBM.Data.Informix.b0.a(IfxType A_0)
       at IBM.Data.Informix.IfxParameter.set_IfxType(IfxType value)
       at StreamTest.Main(String[] args)
    

Local fix

  • use IfxType.Timestamp instead
    

Problem summary

  • Type DateTime is contained in IfxType enumeration but not
    supported.
    

Problem conclusion

  • Problem was first fixed in Version 9.5 Fix Pack 3.
    At a minimum, this fix should be applied on the client.
    

Temporary fix

  • use IfxType.Timestamp instead
