APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• On Visual Studio 2008 only, project templates for DB2 Class
  Library and project item templates for DB2 Class are missing in
  IBM Database add-ins for Visual Studio.  This affects the
  ability to create C# and Visual Basic CLR assemblies.
  When the user attempts to create a new C# project for use as a
  CLR stored procedure, the expected templates 'DB2 Class
  Library for version 8' and 'DB2 Class Library for version 9'
  are missing. Similarly, the Visual Basic project templates
  'DB2 Class Libarary for version 8' and 'DB2 Class Library for
  version 9' are missing.
  When the user attempts to add a new item to a C# project for
  use as a CLR stored procedure, the expected templates 'DB2
  Procedure Class for version 8' and 'DB2 Procedure Class for
  version 9' are missing.  Visual Basic project item templates
  'DB2 Procedure Class for version 8' and 'DB2 Procedure Class
  for version 9' are also missing.
  

Local fix

• It is not necessary to use these templates to create CLR procedu
  res.  You can use any public static method from any public class
   from a C# class library project, or any Public Shared Sub from
  a Public Class in any Visual Basic library project.
