JR28172: PROD=FIXPAK VALUE IN RESPONSE FILE MAKES SILENT INSTALL FAIL

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When the customer trys to perform a silent install of a fixpack
    upgrade on Windows using the sample response file, the customer
    finds that the default value "PROD=FIXPAK" causes the
    installation to fail immediately.
    
    The problem occurs in server editions of DB2
    

Local fix

  • Change the value "FIXPAK" to the name of the product, i.e. for
    WSE the value "PROD=WORKGROUP_SERVER_EDITION" successfully
    installs.
