Error description
DB2 V9 Client does not proceed past the 'Language Selection' panel during the GUI install when setup.exe is run from command prompt with a language switch (e.g. setup.exe -i EN) which differs from the language being used for the OS regional settings The problem happens in the following scenario: 1). It is a v9 DB2 Client install 2). It is the first db2 product installed on the system 3). The install lang is not the default machine lang. The "-i [lang]" option is in the cmd line, eg. setup.exe -i EN on a German machine, or setup.exe -i FR on an English machine 4). 'Typical' or 'Compact' install type is selected in the GUI install. This problem is not applicable for response file based silent install.
Local fix
Possible workarounds include: 1) Selecting 'Custom' install type in the GUI install if you want to use language switch '-i [lang]'. 2) Change your OS regional settings to the same language as that of the language switch being used when setup.exe. is run 3) Not using the /i en switch.
