Error description

  • Referencing to an invalid address memory

During the estimation of cardinality, DB2 may reference to a
memory address beyond the allocated buffer. As a result, DB2 may
shut down the database instance due to an invalid memory
    location.

An instance of the problem was found when a literal is converted
from a unicode database codepage to a double-byte GRAPHIC data
type resulting in the length in byte of the original literal in
unicode database is longer than the length in byte of the
    GRAPHIC literal.
