APAR status
Closed as program error.
Error description
If database is started and stopped, such as when a restoredb is done, all connections in the connection pool will be stale and a -1228 or SQL30081N sqlerror will be returned. The defect fix will make it so that only the first connnection in the pool, upon returning this error, will be bad All remaiing connection objects will be guaranteed to be good. If this APAR is not applied, when this situation described above occurs, the application will need to create new connection objects in order to re-connect to the database. SQL30081N error when executing the user application of restore db, delete, and insert sequentially in a short time.
Local fix
Turn connection pooling off using "pooling=false" in the connection string. Performance will be slightly slower, but it will work correctly.
Problem summary
If database quiesces and unquiesces, all connections in the connection pool will be stale and a -1228 sql error will be returned.
