APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The DB2 toolbox items, (DB2Command, DB2Connection, and
  DB2DataAdapter) are not installed into Visual Studio 2003 when
  registering the v9 DB2 Add-Ins for Visual Studio 2003.
  These were added automatically in v8.
  

Local fix

• Steps to manually add the toolbox items:
  
  In the toolbox, right-click and select "Add/Remove Items...".
  If the DB2 classes DB2Command, DB2Connection, and DB2DataAdapter
  are present, they can just be added by checking their
  checkboxes.
  If they are not, click "Browse" and select "IBM.Data.DB2.dll"
  from <DB2 Install dir>\bin\netf11\.
  

Problem summary

• The DB2 toolbox items, (DB2Command, DB2Connection, and
  DB2DataAdapter) are not installed into Visual Studio 2003 when
  registering the v9 DB2 Add-Ins for Visual Studio 2003.
  These were added automatically in v8.
  

Problem conclusion

• Problem was first fixed in Version 9 FixPak 3
  

Temporary fix

• Steps to manually add the toolbox items:
